Provision and Learning Opportunities

As a provision we are able to offer a wide range of learning opportunities to the students who attend. Each student has a bespoke programme put together based upon their individual needs and interests.

As part of their provision students can access:

  • Academic Tutoring – as a qualified and experienced teacher of both primary and secondary education, Sarah is able to offer tutoring within a range of subjects up to GCSE. This can be delivered in line with exam board specifications and will follow the National Curriculum.
  • ADHD and Me Coaching – as a certified ADHD Practitioner and Coach, Sarah is well placed to use a mixture of coaching and mentoring skills to support both her students and their parents/carers in managing the challenges presented by a neurodiverse brain. This can be delivered through formal coaching/mentoring sessions or through subtle or coincidental conversations during sessions.
  • Cooking – as an experienced baker and passionate cook, Sarah has a strong knowledge of preparing food safely and shares not only food safety and hygiene knowledge but also the life skills in planning and preparing recipes. Sarah uses this as an opportunity to do purposeful and practical learning, providing students with skills for life.
  • Sensory Based (SENSEsational ®) Learning – as a certified sensory needs practitioner, Sarah uses her extensive knowledge of sensory processing to provide sensory based learning experiences for students. Neurodiverse individuals are multisensory learners and therefore need learning to be more active and practical in nature to stimulate their senses and enable memory and learning to take place.
  • Sensory Based Food Aversions Awareness and Support– a common challenge faced by neurodiverse individuals is a restrictive diet or sensory based food aversions. For students who have restrictive diets or sensory based food aversions, Sarah provides support to explore and challenge aversions in a safe environment.
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health – this support looks different for individual students, however, the goal is ultimately the same. We aim to nurture, engage and encourage our students, enabling them to rebuild their confidence and self-esteem, develop their resilience and interact with peers in a socially acceptable manner.
